Backups are written to an immutable, append-only store that is air-gapped from your production environment. Ransomware cannot reach, encrypt, or delete them - by architectural design.

Q: How frequently are backups taken?

Backup frequency is configurable from continuous (near-zero RPO) to hourly. The default for Enterprise plans is continuous change-data capture with hourly consolidated snapshots.

Q: Is there geographic redundancy?

Yes. All backups are replicated across a minimum of three geographically distinct data centres within your chosen region. Cross-region replication is available on the Enterprise plan.
